The new dividend-focused eToro’s portfolio

There should be no need to introduce eToro, as the investment platform has been known very widely for over 20 years. Their newest invention - the DividendGrowth Portfolio is an innovative tool, which will potentially help the customers invest without comprehensive knowledge and deep research. The purpose for introducing it is something called the democratization of the investment segment.

The portfolio consists only of the carefully selected stocks. The criteria were focused on reliability, the market cap, and the 5-year average of the dividend growth. And that is not everything, as eToro’s CEO, Yoni Assia claims the goal of the new portfolio to be the facilitated access to investment for inexperienced (or busy) users.

How will the DividendGrowth portfolio work?

The minimum investment on the new platform is $2,000, and the investors could potentially add up to 40 stocks (dividend-paying ones only) to their portfolio. The investment process is supposed to now become more convenient and fast.

They will also grant access to thematic investing - renewable energy, and different advanced technology branches for instance. This means that some strategies (that were outside regular people’s possibilities) will now become accessible for every user.

The portfolio itself comprises international companies and has very big names among them - such as L'Oréal, PepsiCo, AT&T, IBM, Diageo, or Proctor and Gamble. The big factor will of course still be the Covid-19 situation, as the pandemic influences the stocks all around the globe. Heavy investments bear more risks, and it is fully understandable that people will be really cautioned.
